And now it's Cho's turn to completely ignore his question. "What did you--" That shivery feeling in her mind, like a chill or a tickle in her brain. She probably would have just ignored it, except... the exact word she'd been thinking. How else would he have known?

"You were in my head." Oh, she does not like that. "You listen to me." Her voice shakes, just a bit, and she can't help it. "I don't know you, but if you ever do that again without my permission, you and I are going to have a problem, understand?"

It's an overwhelming kind of a thought. Someone else in your mind. It's not his place. None of his business. He has no right. If she has to make him sleep again to keep him out, then she will. Or try to, anyway. There's a horrible sick flash of Chad, of having no control. It's terrifying.

He gives her a careful, measured glance, and moves to his feet.

"Then maybe we'll have a problem," he told her. Stated, really. If he had to dip into her mind again, then he would. He'd never allowed threats to get in his way. He didn't really register them.

"Are you going to point me towards the exit or do I have to find it myself?"

"This isn't exactly a labyrinth," Cho says, getting to her feet and leaving the room, wanting to put as much space as she can between herself and this man with his invasive mind and his complete lack of regard for personal boundaries. He could have just asked. Bastard.

"Just follow the light." She should make him stay, she should insist that someone look at him, because he's obviously in pain. He doesn't want the help, though, and she wants him gone, so she sits down in the demon room where she can still see the light coming in from the cave entrance, where she can watch him to make sure he leaves, and she waits for him to go.

Quinn, ignoring her, crouches, for a moment, beside Wanwright. His expression is blank, utterly unreadable. Wainwright is safe, in the enchanted sleep. There's nothing he has to do.

Nothing he can do.

His fingers skim, for a moment, over Wainwright's cheek.

And then he stands, and leaves the cave. Doesn't even send a glance Cho's direction.
