Cherry wanted to arrive early. This stupid idea had been her stupid idea and she owed it to all the people stupid enough to respond to it to show her stupid face. Oh, that low blood sugar situation was not getting any better. It had been getting worse and worse since arriving in Rowan, she decided. Or at least, since the demons took over Jhelbor and drove the elves, with their sweet food, away.

She looked around the hollow and was struck by a painful rush of familiarity. This looked like the hollow she had lived in for two years as a child, climbing trees with her friends, peering out through the branches into worlds of their own design and imagination. It was almost heart-wrenching to see it now. It was just beautiful.

Turning in a slow circle, Cherry took a moment for herself, breathing it in. The serenity wouldn't last, but she abruptly decided that this was where she wanted to sleep tonight. It felt like home. And Cherry didn't use that word often.

"Hello?" she whispered softly, after a moment.

"I'm here," returned Devorah, stepping out of the shadows.

It made sense, that Cherry would be the first to arrive. It was her idea, originally, though she had, perhaps, not stepped up to organize it the way Devorah would have.

Taryn sighed as she entered the meeting place, figuring that she was up so she might as well head over.

All this war stuff was over her head, since it didn't seem to exist in her own world...so all it spelled for he was a bunch of complicated people making life more complicated.

She climbed a tree to wait out the duration of the meeting, not wanting any of the others to tread on her because they didn't see her.

"How long is this going to take?" she asked loudly.

Cho slipped into the meeting place well before sunset. Kale had already rejoined Royal and Niko and the cross looking woman. Cho missed having him close by where she could be sure he was all right. Of course, the fact that he could leave her was the mark of being fine, so really what it came down to was the simple truth that Cho didn't want to be alone.

She almost didn't go. Starting out feeling unwelcome seemed like a sure bet for personal emotional disaster. She'd only been trying to help. What was she supposed to think when someone said "let's figure out what brought us here and leave out the natives"?

Still, things were being decided, and she should at least listen. So she made her way quietly to a spot by a tree out of the way, and sat down with her knees pulled up to her chest and waited.

"It will take however long it takes," said Devorah, patient but a hint stern.
