Cassandra stepped out of her apartment. She intended to go to the Frolicking Stoat to try and find some mild occupation, but instead, she found herself gravitating to the wall. She had not gone to visit the hole she had dug for quite some time. The tribue to Othryoneus. The place where she had met Cordelia. The scene of her first conversation with Cris. It had such importance in her life here in Jhelbor and she almost felt guilty for ignoring it. Almost. It was, after all, a hole.
As she headed to the wall, however, she noticed a strange color she had not seen before. There was a man leaning against the wall, his eyes a bit unfocused and confused. Another one of the worldwalkers, perhaps? Cassandra couldn't be sure, but she slowly began to drift closer and closer into his direction.
Sharply, Cassandra lifted her chin. So much for her stellar powers of invisibility. She didn't like the tone his voice was taking. Was he drunk? No good could come of this.
Nevertheless, she squared her shoulders to face him, every bit the princess she had once bee. "Yes?"
Taryn padded quietly down the walkway with no particular destination in mind. This place was unbelievably dull in her opinion, and she was sick of sleeping most of the day away. At least she had a bag to carry stuff in...though it was nowhere near as good as her treasure bag from home. Getting one her size mesnt it only really had room for her journal and pen, which was pretty depressing in itself.
"What a backwards place," she muttered under her breath. Although the journals were pretty advanced she supposed.
"Whoa, whoa," he said, stumbling back, and squinting at the thing that had just randomly appeared in his path. Winced, a little, because it felt like his foot had connected with something.
"You, uh. Okay?"
Boy was he going to look stupid if it couldn't talk.
"...I'm fine." Taryn backed up a few steps to smooth out her tail, which had puffed up a bit when Jason had nearly tripped. "Doesn't anybody pay attention to what's under them? At this rate I'll be hospitalized because someone didn't see me." Of course she was exaggerating a bit, but not much.
"I do pay attention," defended Jason. "I'm just a little intoxicated right now, and I'll have you know that -- y'know. Thing. It makes you trip. Coordination. Ears. You have a black swirly thing around you."
Another one? Seriously? How many of them were there?
"Only it works for your," and he waved his hand. "Cat. -ness. It's cool, really."
