What: attempting to recreate some personal favourites
When: early Wednesday afternoon
Where: Cho's place

Cho had finally finally finally gotten the sauce just right. It had taken her days, but it was so totally worth it. Now she was just trying to figure out how to make the perfect noodle. She'd never actually made Italian pasta from scratch before, but the learning curve was pretty steep, and she was getting closer. Not quite right yet, but it wasn't as though any of her failures had turned out inedible, so at least there was no waste. Niko was right about the sorcery, too, she was hungry all the time.

The kitchen was hot, but she didn't mind it so much. She had all the windows and doors open to take advantage of any breeze that felt like blowing, and she was reasonably content. She was already trying to decide on the best way to get a big bowl of cannelloni to Markon. Maybe she could convince him to come eat with her. He hadn't turned up to the dinner party thing, and she hadn't seen him at the tavern opening. He needed to eat, though, and she didn't like to think of him eating the army food. Maybe she'd be able to convince him if she went down there in person and gave him the puppy dog look. Gabriel had told her more than once that she could take over the world when she pouted. An extraordinary exaggeration, obviously, but it was worth a shot.
