Lhoral lingered, in the prison.

She hated it here. Not just because the demons passed back and forth outside the cell, jeering as appropriate, ignoring her whenever a superior officer passed by. Not just because it was prison. Not just because she couldn't stay clean, but because --

Because she didn't think she was going to survive.

The sun had set. Quahl motioned for her warriors to follow closely behind her. She had brought four fighters and two archers on this mission, each elf handpicked from her domain

Leaning his face on the cell bars, Tamber had thought that he heard something -- but maybe it was just his imagination.

And then, there she was. Lady Quahl. The guards had been um...disarmed. Seferade was unlocking the door.

"It is wonderful to see you my lady. We --"

"We didn't think we'd make it out alive," interrupted Lhoral, who had now stood up.

When she asked for Mikney, the two of them looked at each other, unsure.

Quahl hesitated a moment before she reached into her sleeve and pulled out a book. The cover read "A Guide to Cheap and Easy Cooking," the letters were obviously demon.

"I'm going to find Mikney. Stay here. All of us will be leaving together."

She handed the book to Tamber.

"Warn me if anything happens before I come back. I'll be keeping one of these open at all times."
