Who: Jenna and Derek What: Meeting up for a chat...among other things. What Jenna doesn't know can, in fact, hurt her. Oh boy will it hurt... Where: just outside the west gate When: Wednesday
Rayne had just escaped an entire year of mind games. He wasn't too eager to get himself involved in them again - and Jenna didn't seem the type to have any relationship without some kind of manipulation involved. Calculation.
She wasn't Angilo, though. And he couldn't judge her like she was.
He emerged from the city gate, spotting her to his left. Circled around to face her, staying at a little bit of a distance, at a little bit of an angle. Not so much afraid as it was reflexively cautious, just giving himself enough space for his reflexes to engage if she ever tried to attack.
"That's only a consolation if I get to know when you're hungry," he pointed out. She wasn't moving. Which meant that she didn't consider him a threat. Which probably meant that she was more than met the eye.
Unless she was totally crazy, of course. Not out of the question.
Jenna couldn't help a small chuckle. "But of course."
She pulled away from the wall, looking around. The Elven sentries would likely hear them if they spoke here. "This way," she said quietly, and began leading him to the edge of the forest.

"Jenna Angel?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

So far, so good. He seemed honest. "Don't worry. I only bite when I'm hungry."

"Best to get out of their hearing range."
