It is the coat of arms for Gunhilda Amberstar, my alter ego in the Society for Creative Anachronism. In other words, it's the heraldic sign that means "me." :)

I create fluff. And it's mediocre fluff at best. I'm technically capable and I can spell decently and use proper grammar, but there's so much more to good writing than that.

You do more than that. There's a passion and intensity to your writing that I'm never going to be capable of. You bring these characters to life in a way that very few writers can pull off. In anyone else's hands, the things you write would be unbearably melodramatic. In yours, it turns into art.

You're a real writer. I'm just someone who strings words together.
