This is so sweet and that's such a purely Jack response.

I love how you write Sam as so realistically vulnerable without letting her lose any of the strength that defines so much of her character. So many writers can't pull it off, but you do it with such grace.

I'm insanely jealous, actually. You just have a serious knack for characterization that most people can't pull off. And yeah, I'm gonna continue reading it because, DAMN but you're good.

Okay, you're always way too good for my ego.;)

I'm still a tad insecure coming back and writing Stargate after so long, so it's always nice to hear I haven't completely lost my touch.:) Thank you!

Someone who writes like you do hardly needs me to be good for your ego. :D Seriously. You're an incredible writer. I've always thought so. You've not lost your touch in the slightest.

This is lovely. You write them so well. This sentence ("She remembers Tok'ra tunnels and dual sunrises and the feel of Asgard fingers wrapped around her own") is especially beautiful. Plus there's motorcycle love!

Motorcycle love is never a bad thing.;) Thank you! Very glad you enjoyed this.:)

SO lovely. Lonely Sam is such one of the things I depend on you to give me now and then...and to assuage in me and her.

Well it seems my muse just won't ever fully abandon my dear Carter, so there you go.:) Thank you, hon. *hugs*

Well, I'm still waiting anxiously for Helen DarkFic ... LOL ... but this was lovely.

Sam & Terri and I were watching SG this afternoon. We stopped at "Divide and Conquer." I'd forgotten that we don't get to see Sam confess that she'd lied (I guess TPTB thought that her being the one to tell Jack "we lied" would have been enough...but it wasn't!!) -- so I complained about that. And Terri said, "Weren't you already shown this one?" And I admitted, "yeah." She laughed and said she knew it, that anything about Sam & Jack, I'd have seen already. I said that she even knew my friends too well.

I love the image of sometimes ... just wanting to go home even though you're not quite sure where that is ... and then you find it instead in the one person who really does understand. I love the imagery here, and I love the idea that you do -- cease to be an Earthling after going through the Gate.

And I hope you do a follow-up to this; I'd love to read about the visit. (But don't let me distract you from writing Helen! :) )

Well, I'm still waiting anxiously for Helen DarkFic ... LOL

I'm desperately trying to claim a few moments and some headspace to myself to get it finished! I'm trying!:D But now, verita_truth is holding her next chapter hostage until I post Ch. 7 of "Interview", so that's really really strong motivation...hmmm...wonder if I could negotiate with her for HelenDarkfic...::insert evil gleam::

... but this was lovely.

Thank you.:)

"Divide and Conquer." I'd forgotten that we don't get to see Sam confess that she'd lied

Ya know, annakarrennina made me write Sam's confession as a fic once, and I did, and I posted it at least on GateShip at the time, I think, but I was never fully happy with the fic, so I never archived it to be available anywhere.

and I love the idea that you do -- cease to be an Earthling after going through the Gate.

Oh, thank you! That part sort of just unfolded as I was writing, and I was actually quite proud of it.

And I hope you do a follow-up to this; I'd love to read about the visit.I think the S/J fic I'm writing set in the Atlantis ( ... )
