Ohhhh, all of this looks awesome! Not that I have any Rocket characters but... it still looks awesome.

I like the idea of limiting the starters and taking out the cuter stuff! Maybe if you guys don't want to give people less options, you can offer some Rocket-exclusive starters? (aha)

Well, that's part of the reason we wanted to offer one free 'typical grunt' pokemon like Koffing and Ekans--though as things progress, we may consider Rocket-only starters!

Personally, I'm really against the idea of exclusive starters. A starter is usually determined by something important to the character, something they have a connection to, or something that they just really click well with. Why should someone who, say, loves snakes be unable to get an Ekans starter if unless they joined team rocket? Conversely, in the Special manga, Blue's started was Jigglypuff, so it's not like cute Rocket starters are completely unheard of in the universe...also, Meowth.

If we added Rocket-exclusive starters, we'd pull them from outside of the current available set. So no worries there!

Meowth is an exception because it MAKES MONEY AWWWW YEAH 8D Also, Blue was a special, hand-picked operative whose M.O. was using cute, unevolved pokemon to lull her enemies into underestimating her. The goal TR is going for here in Route is to essentially create a unified force.

You mean handing in the pokemon you caught/stole/mugged off some poor shmuck? Via the PC, on a secure connection! Unless you're in Goldenrod, then you can hand it in in person at the base.

Yes. I guess I just mean, how will you do it ICly. I mean, would there be something like a weekly post that goes up, and people could post what they've gotten or.

Oh! No, it'd be handwaveable. Goodness, that'd be way too much work for everybody! It's mostly there for purposes of MORAL STRIFE. ICly, the characters would hand over the pokeball to a higher-ranking officer at the base for processing, or transfer it via the PC using the Rocket-only network.
