[How long had they been in this weird, cramped room anyway? There is only one window, far up and a stretch across the no real communications to the outside world except for their Gear. That's the only way to tell the time. The lights are a pale, gross yellow, shining from the ceiling. There's a door, heavy and dark and only locking from the outside. The walls are hard, made of concrete, almost impossible to break out of.

Their pokémon had even been taken from them before entering. They're being cared for, they've been told - but probably not well. After all, even they aren't being cared for well. The only meals they're properly fed are packs of baked chips, an abundance of celery sticks, and pathetically-made peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches
