Summary: Yosuke tries to teach Jiraiya how to actually battle. Naturally, it ends in utter failure. Cue Rise to the rescue!

Had it not been for a very exhausting and highly embarrassing process of trying to train an unruly Magikarp, Rise might have burst out laughing when she stumbled across Yosuke doing some embarrassing training of his own. But she was now understanding enough to simply watch on sympathetically.

... Okay, not entirely. She did have to struggle not to crack up, but who wouldn't, after seeing a Slowpoke lose so miserably to a giant caterpillar? And there was Yosuke's defeated posture to take into consideration, too. All in all, it was very impressive that Rise only let a few giggles escape before she headed over to her crestfallen upperclassman and dropped a hand on his shoulder.

"He was so close to making it, too."
