((;-; SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST. My code keeps breaking. I don't know why!

Jack works at the same 'Mart))

"Why. Why would anyone do this." Jack Skellington glowered down an aisle in the Poke'Mart as several tacky Pidgy-shaped travel watches went off, one after the other. Someone had slipped into the store, activated, and set every last one to go off a few moments after the other. And then carefully placed them back into their packages. SON OF A ASGNGNDF.

The ex-skeleton dropped to a knee and started opening the tiny boxes to kill the unholy chorus of, "Pidgy! Pidgy! Pidgy!" before he and the other employees went completely mad.

((It's fine! :3 And I figured there'd always be at least two workers at the same time.))

And out came a heavy sigh from Ramona. "Because obviously someone loves toying with us."

She stared down the aisle of Pidgey watches, and the rousing sound was irritating her. So, in an attempt to get it all to stop faster, she went over and began to help Jack, starting from the other end. "And whoever did it has probably done it before."

((Also, hello!))

Normally, Jack approved of trickery that was all in good fun. But he had to work here the better part of his day. And that was not fun. He held a box to his ear to make sure it was chirping before fumbling it open and deactivating the little watch with more force than was necessary.

"Bet you anything they did it days ago too."

((o/ Also I love your Jack. XD Makes me want to re-watch NMBC.))

Oh, she remembered that too. It was her first day there. "More than likely."

Finally, the digital Pokémon cries began to die down as they got down to the last few watches. That was really annoying. Why did the Mart have to get so many dumb and annoying customers? She never had this kind of problem with her deliveries back in her world. Well, a lot less so than she did here, at the least.

"Okay, that should be it." Luckily for them, customers had not been piling up while that was being done. "I really think they should've just had these boxes locked until they were bought."

Klavier, for his part, had found a job of his own. It wasn't ideal, of course, but very little about this arrangement was ideal. However, he had, at the very least, been earning some money--it wasn't as much as he was used to, of course, but...

He was off for the next few hours, however, and he wasn't going to spend it hanging around the Pokécentre--he had enough of that place when he was on the clock, and frankly, he had much better things to be doing with his time. There was only so much fresh air and musical composition one could take before boredom set in, though, and it was with mischief on his mind--or at least an update on this Herr Scott she'd been mentioning--that he pushed open the door to the Pokémart, carefully shouldering past a display of gaudy magazines (the type he was used to finding himself on the cover of) in an attempt to find the Fräulein before that nurse caught him and called him back to the Centre for more cleaning.

Evening is where it generally began getting less frequently busy, but Ramona still knew that customers came; they just seemed to come in more sporadic instances, since most trainers and breeders traveled together at night. She didn't blame them; if they were anything like the people she knew, traveling with someone else was probably the best idea anyone could come up with in the dead of night.

As such, since it wasn't so busy, she was straightening up some counters and fixing displays that previous customers had messed up. Seriously. What part of 'Do Not Touch' did people not seem to be able to understand? She was being about as gentle as she could with the displays since most of them were pretty fragile; if she broke any, she was pretty sure she'd never hear the end of it.

At least her shift was over in a few hours.

Ah, there she was.

Preoccupied with her responsibilities, no less... it looked like she was handling breakables. While Klavier didn't have any particular plans for how he was going to introduce his presence to her, this did sort of limit his options; he wasn't an asshole unlike some people he knew and he certainly didn't want to get her in trouble. He was, however, extremely restless, and with restlessness came a tendency towards mischief, or at least music... the latter of which he was actually beginning to believe he'd burnt himself out on, sitting around and accomplishing so little after his shifts.

The solution was something of a compromise--the sort of thing he might have done to the Fraulein detective, actually, were she in one of her testier moods. Moving with fluid ease, he slipped up behind her, beside the display to which her back was turned, leaning over her with his hands on his hips, half-looming as he watched her reorganise the items on display. The only thing she'd need to watch out for was that pendant.

Preoccupied with her responsibilities was indeed correct. Ramona was... admittedly actually heavily focused on her task, since breakables were... well, very breakable. Turning the little figurines so they were facing forward, and in (what she considered, at least) a feasible position.

Of course, she didn't hear Klavier come in, nor his sneaking behind her. In fact, she didn't even think that he would come in that day, since she didn't exactly care to remember when he was working at the Center. Why was she even worrying about when he or Scott would arrive, anyway? It wasn't her issue, it wasn't her problem...It wasn't until she started to move over to the next display and felt something touch her back that she froze for a moment, considering what could be happening - for one thing, whatever it was that just tapped her stopped just as quickly, so it could be someone poking her, or someone attempting something on her. Either way, she didn't like it, and was quickly deciding whether to thrust her elbow backwards, turn around and attempt ( ... )
