[Violet may not have been as large as Goldenrod, but it was still a fairly large city. Without being informed beforehand that his best friend had finally rolled into town, he wasn't searching for her, instead choosing to scour the city for any remaining bugs. By now, the swarm had died down significantly, and any remaining bug Pokemon were as calm as the wild ones. It was a relief, not to have to worry about being blown up by a rogue Pineco (he'd be twitchy around those Pokemon for quite some time, he knew it), and even more of a relief to know that everyone was much safer now than they were before.

The explosion had carved an impressive gaze on the outside of one of his thighs, which made it fairly difficult for him to walk (though the Pokemon Center nurses guaranteed a full return of mobility once he was healed). For now, however, he was forced to keep watch over Violet from the shoulders of his Charizard]

Geez... [He was mostly grumbling to himself as he flexed his injured leg, wincing as every movement sent a small pang of pain

[That eases his grumpiness, and he just kind of gives her a look, before it fades into something more thoughtful]

Hey, Aoko.

[ahokonakamori]

Yeah?

[bakaitoukid]

[... somewhat awkwardly, he closes the distance between them for a tight hug]

Eh?

[That took Aoko completely by surprise. She's even blushing a bit. She's about to say something, but decides against it. Instead, she also hugs him back.]

[Hey it's been nine months. Even if he won't say it, he missed her.

He clings for a bit longer, before pulling away, lifting a hand to rub his nose and give her a grin]

So! What kinda food do you want?

[Give her a little time, she's still blushing from that sudden hug. But she recovers, and grins back.]

Know any good pizza places around here?

Pizza? [Giving her a weird look; lol Japanese, he doesn't eat much pizza, but he does at least know where it is]

I haven't looked for any pizza places around here, but 'm sure there's one somewhere.

Great! If we can't find one, though, I think I'd be pretty much okay with anything else.

What has you craving pizza all of a sudden? [Amused]

I don't really know myself. It was just the first thing that popped into my head, and-- [LOUD STOMACH GROWLING. Oh the embarrassment.] That's why.

[Another laugh, and he stuffs his hands into his pockets]

I-I can't help it! I ran all over the place looking for you..........

Okay. [She wants to say something about that limp, but knows it won't do any good.]

Wait.......we're not going to ride Goro, are we?

[Glances back at her over his shoulder and shakes his head as he fumbles for Goro's pokeball]

No. We'll walk. [a beam of red light, and Goro is recalled to his little spherical home]

[Okay, she's relieved at that. She's still a little scared of Goro.]

Oh, okay then. [She pulls out her Pokeballs, and returns Moonlight and Hoppip to them, as well.] They're getting kinda tired.
