This is not a happy dream.
The little girl finds herself in the center of three people. One of them, surprisingly, is herself, albeit in cheerful Puella Magi form. Next is her own mother, arms crossed and as stern as ever. And third, right in front of the girl... is her hero. Kyoko. Looking down at her, her face covered by shadow.
For some reason the little girl can't move. Can't raise herself to look at any of these people. She can't look up to see their expressions better. She tries to speak, but it only comes out as a croak. A cry. A whimper.]
"She can't even speak." "What is it? What is it you have to say, Yuma? Is it... nothing?" "You shouldn't expect anything from her. Nothing at all."
"""She's useless."""
[N... No... That's not true! The girl tries to scream, but suddenly, the three are sneering at her. Taunt after taunt begins to leave their lips, all the while all she ( ... )

[Yuma doesn't understand. But this Kyoko is definitely going to protect her. That much is clear, and for this first time since she's gotten here, that makes something clear in her mind. What Lacus said was true. Maybe they could go back to the way they were before... even if Kyoko didn't remember...
Thinking like that, Yuma's mother and the other Yuma both faltered somewhat, but the other Kyoko stood her ground, spear at the ready.]
Because I know just how worthless she is. She needs me to teach her how to get food. How to get a room. We never had anyone like that, did we? She's a big girl, she can do it herself... If she can't, then what good is she?
I'll show you.
-- Look out!!
[Enjoy this, the spear's being thrust your way Kyoko.]

[and when the spear comes, Kyoko almost doesn't react in time. but, she does, barely. her first priority is getting yuma out of the way, and it's with a graceful (read: forceful) push that she attempts to get both her and Yuma away from the attack.]

[Oh look, Kyoko's face distorts there for a moment and look like Yuma's mother. But it's just a moment, and as the spear is now momentarily stuck in the ground, the fake-Kyoko just... leaves it there, creating a new one out of thin air it seems and approaching the two.
Yuma, for her part, is trying to tug Kyoko to safety and do all that she can.]

[Kyoko feels Yuma's tug, but doesn't quite go in that direction. she's looking at the surroundings, wondering where exactly to go. her gaze wanders and stays on the spear in the ground... maybe she can take that.
-- but then she has to take care of Yuma, as well. Fighting and protecting at the same time is a difficult thing. she learned that from Sayaka.]
We're going. [she hates to do this, but right now the only thing she can do is run.]

Where can we go?
[Yuma's put all her trust into this Kyoko now. Just like any apartment, there are doors and winbows, but with these three here, just how far could they get? Was there anything even out there, if they made it...? ... It didn't matter to Yuma, at least. She would go anywhere with Kyoko.]

[and now she's pulling yuma to her feet. as far as fighting went, kyoko didn't stand a chance at the moment. no powers, no spears, and dream like apparitions. could they even get hurt?
but at this point, she's just running toward the door of the apartment. if they could get away, it was good. if not, she'd try to fight. if that was what it came down to.]

... Because the problem is that it is entirely populated by Kyokos and Yuma Moms, should they travel to elevators or other apartment rooms. The occasional Mami or two might pop up as well, but not so much.]
O..Okay, Kyoko! We're gone! I know where we are--
... This is where you found me... Down there, Yuma and Kyoko met for the first time!

[For Heather in particular, one of those things was hearing a little girl screaming.]
[A little girl screaming as she burned, more specifically.]
[Heather doesn't know where she is, who the figures on front of her are, or why she's seeing them. In fact, she's pretty upset about all those things, especially since the last thing she even remembers was being in a quiet forest, without any screaming or burning at all.]
[But being herself... there's pretty much only one thing she can think of to do in this situation. It's something she's often wished she could go back and do in her own past, so naturally it's the first thing that leaps into her mind right now. She can't make the burning stop for that poor kid... but she sure as hell can run in and start punching faces in.]
HEY!
[She dashes forward, fists flying.]

Yuma, at least, is able to notice that someone's arrived and has come to do something, so she's peeking out and up at her savior.]

... Stop it... You're... Making it worse...!!

[The apparitions' responses baffle her slightly, but no, she's not going to stop. Her entire world had been changed when Harry Mason had refused to abandon her to the torment of those people in Silent Hill. Why should any abused kid be treated differently.]
[So over her shoulder, she tells the little girl--]
