Maybe it's something other than just being post-ictal? I don't know what, but maybe something else.........

This isn't a great way to contact you, but please give me a phone call as soon as you read this --- or one of the other of you locals. Paul's boss called me, and he hasn't shown up for work or called, nor answered his phone. We need to check on him. Please call me at 360-253-7911 so you can help us figure out what to do.
Thanks Kathie

Oh, Kathie, I'm so sorry. I'm sure you're not reading this right now, but ...

I loved Paul like a brother. He was so sweet and so kind and such a silly, wonderful man. If you recall New Year's Eve a few years ago when he went to see a friend in the Portland area, that was me. We spent a silly, fun evening playing cards with my parents, our friends, and their daughter, who is developmentally disabled. Paul was so kind and gentle with her, even though she was kind of annoying. I think she had a little crush on him by the end of the evening, and I was so glad he came to hang out with all of us.

There is a big, gaping Paul-shaped hole in my life right now.

Please call on me any time you need anything at all; I live in Des Moines, just south of SeaTac Airport. 206-293-5878

I just found out about Paul's death after googling him to see what he had been up to recently. I've been in shock since. I came across the memorial site that had been set up. What a wonderful way to pay tribute to a friend ( ... )
