CoolCat Rocks!

I get home last night and my daughter asks me if I was expecting anything for my doll. I was actually expecting pastels, but when I saw the box, I knew it wasn't pastels. The CoolCat wig for Kiyam came. While it was still in the plastic bag it came in, K-baby asked me if it was another wig for Murasaki, since it really did look very long and ( Read more... )

The wig cap along Murasaki's center part is... pulling apart? I can see her head cap THROUGH the black wig fabric. I haven't taken it off and really investigated but it looks from the outside that the fabric's weave is giving, like a weak spot that is getting bigger from the stress of being stitched in so many times AND pulled constantly.

I take partial blame for this since when her wig isn't straight I grab the wig on the appropriate side and pull putting stress on that center part. I was thinking I might be able to just put something black and stretchy on the inside of the wig so the head cap doesn't show through.

I know the Monique wig isn't that expensive, I just hate to spend more money than I have to on an otherwise perfectly good wig.

Well again, the pictures of Murasaki's modeling is on Jules' camera, so I'll have to beg her to send me the pictures again tonight.

Aw..ick..that sort of think shouldn't happen with any decently made wig..x-x I pull on Token's wig to straighten it all the time and I haven't had any problems..bleh..I hope you figure out a way around it. -nods-

Poop. I was just hoping it was me, because the wig fits snuggly but not what I consider too tight since it really does slide on easily. We tried on a different wig at a meet and I really struggled to get the other fat head doll into Murasaki's wig. But on Murasaki it slides on, seems to fit snuggly without offering to fly off too easily. I've been really happy with the wig. It's not lots of money to replace but I hate to to it for a wig that is otherwise in good condition. I wonder if black stocking hand sewn into the wig cap would work. That's what I was thinking of using, just so it doesn't look like 'Saki's got a bald spot in her part. What do you think?
