A friend of mine recently got "The Stand" on DVD. We decided to watch it and I was surprised at how much of the miniseries still worked well, even with special effects and costuming that look so dated. It was well worth the rewatch.http://www.boomtron.com/ -

June was the month of fantasy movies. “Maleficent” offered up a different side of Sleeping Beauty’s story, while “How To Train Your Dragon 2” gave another piece of Hiccup and Toothless’ story.

"American Gods", the book by Neil Gaiman, was optioned for development into a TV series in 2011 by HBO and Playtone. The show didn't materialize as promised, but Gaiman's blog has shed some light on its whereabouts and offered new hope to his fans. tv shows, neil gaiman, writing
