Been procrastinating ALL day. Sitting watching a giraffe give birth while sitting thinking about fic I could write, things I could draw, while not doing bloody anything. So, yes, in one hour this sheet of paper will have a portrait of sorts on it. Will stick updates in the comments. By that time it will be either on it's way to being something ( Read more... )

I was yelling 'push' (well, stressing the word vehemently) at the laptop screen for ages 'cause that clearly helped. She really needed some loon shouting at a computer screen to get her through it. Took solace from the fact I probably wasn't the only one. Star Wars springs to mind: "all at one once a million voices cried out" lol. Was wonderful to see...well, it was after I figured out how to switch off the chat feed 'cause, really, some stupid people out there in that big world.

LOL, I was shouting at her too, it was *just* like the million voices :p
I used the YouTube links and never saw all the daft chat after I saw it once on Facebook. I couldn't bear the stupid people!

Sad when the hair is the best thing in a portrait ROFL. Worrying thing is I recognise the chin and mouth, and it's obv not what I was meant to be drawing: it's the bottom half of a friend's face I was looking at on Facebook this morning. In fact, I think that's who I might have been subconsciously drawing cause it's the shape of his eyes, too. Hilarious. Colour them brown and... So, this was interesting to see then? Thought by putting it on LJ I was forcing myself to keep going. Didn't even know which pic I was going to choose until I started drawing either. Trying the mad colour approach rather than the sensible skin tones *g*...keep that for punters that pay me to draw.

Not sad at all!! Hair for me is the hardest thing, and I love the way you've achieved this!! I was really impressed by the eyes, too. Eyes defeat me all the time. And noses, god, don't get me started on how awful I am at noses.

I've been sitting staring at the thing thinking about all the bits that are fixable. Right eyes just needs a tweak, left maybe a wee bit more, nose probably works if rest is fixed. Needs some chin surgery lol. Putting it my 'to be worked on' pile. Will do the one hour things again, tho. Might end up with a pile of half done fanart which is no bad thing.
