Oh, I did enjoy this and, if I may say so, you've got a very nice style of writing! Your depiction of office life was spot on (I've been there and done it) and I liked the twist in the tale in that the POV was from an older woman (well, it was a twist for me because for some reason I was expecting a younger woman); and I loved the humour:

"How are the brussel sprouts?"

So much good stuff here!

Thanks for sharing.

Oh you won't believe how much you've made my day by writing this review! Thank you so much. I so hoped that that was how the fic would be read - thinking it was a younger woman and then realising she wasn't quite the character you thought. It was entirely deliberate, and I'm bouncing up and down to know it worked!!
Thank you so much again for the lovely comments :o)

Oh, you're very welcome! And I'm so glad I got the nuances and subtleties right (I always worry that I miss those!) It was a very good idea.

By the way, I'm Noble and shooting2kill.

Hey, no, seriously, I'm still hyper that someone 'got' it. And I was checking out your LJ - the dentist thing - OMG *shudders*. I'm going to friend you if that's okay :o)

I enjoyed that a lot. I'd never given much thought to the support staff - in so many stories they're just "there" - but you made Janice seem quite real. I can quite believe the effect that Bodie would have on her too.

I think Bodie has that effect on all of us *grin*. Thanks for your lovely comments!

I always like the third-party pov, especially when the writer doesn't try to stick his/her character into one of the fellows' roles. And isn't it just like an older woman of then to "like a man in a suit"! ;-)
Nicely done.

Oh, I'm so glad to know this worked - I don't usually write from this perspective (tend to prefer to write the boy's banter) so it's really great to know it worked okay. Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
