I don't know how the images work in my psyche, but there's something about the combination of pretty blue lights in the darkness and Paris that makes me think of Gerard Way - it hits my brain on the same level.
Well, if we both make it to Le Spit in 2010, I vote we stand at the top of the Eiffel Tower together and think of Gerard Way!
I'm currently unsure about Le Spit, mainly because of the way it seems to be being planned for the super fit. Six to eight hours of walking/being on my feet is just not possible. Depending on the cost of it all, I suppose I could opt out of some of the activities, and recuperate by sitting in cafes and watching the world go by... It's tempting, because I have never been to Paris and would really like to, especially in the company of Dunnett fans!
I hope we do! I have every intention... despite all the obvious difficulties. I don't think I should let practical considerations get in my way.

What a great idea!

One doesn't need to do anything. Beulah isn't super fit. I'm limping and goodness knows what my walking capabilities will be then. Currently my 'on my feet' limit is about fifteen minutes, and that's with a certain level of discomfort, complaint, and whimpers.

In Paris, that's a wondeful thing to do. We could leave the fit to tramp around the sites (many of which I've seen) while we sit in some cafe surrounded by delicious French coffee, creamy pastries, and Parisian atmosphere.
It's just that being there, in Paris, and not doing stuff and seeing all the wonderful places that I'm sure will be on the programme... it just seems like a terrible missed opportunity. Still, if I'm to have your company and Beulah's, then that does rather change things!
A cheap hotel - if there are any in Paris - is a must. And hey, if I eat enough creamy pastries, then I won't need many meals...

It's been too long since I've been to Paris.
