Q. a: recognized by state. the church can and should do as it sees fit, as it is a collection of private institutions. as i am not a member of any of those organizations, i do not feel as though i can comment on their world views. further, rights cannot be "given" only "affirmed", as rights are considered inherent liberties, unassailable by the government and the government cannot give what it cannot touch.
