Summary: This was written for The Shadow Proclamation, who won two fics during the Support Stacie auction. The prompt was: post-JE, the Doctor gives Rose a choice. She can stay with him on the TARDIS, or stay with 10.5 in the parallel world. What will she do?

*sigh* very thoughtful ending, they still have so much to make right but at least they've got hope and each other)

She holds her hand out to him anyway, surprised and pleased to realize that he was holding his out to hers at the same time. She curls her fingers into his hand, feeling the strength of it, the warmth of his skin. The steady single beat of his heart through the veins in his wrist. She moves to stand close beside him, their hands entwined and their bodies touching as they face the unknown together.

I like your take on this. A little angsty, a lot of uncertainty. Why didn't he bring a piece of the TARDIS with him, though? Not enough time when he expected to have enough with Donna when he snuck back into the ship? I'm sure he could build something, though. Even if it's just a jet engine for an airplaine. He's still got to be brilliant enough to do that. Then they could travel faster. Curious to see the sequel.

Well, he was assuming that he'd get back on the TARDIS once Rose said goodbye. So he and Donna weren't prepared for her change of heart. I suspect he'll get over not having a TARDIS once he settles into being a human. And if he doesn't, yes, he'll soup up a zeppelin or invent the first airplane in Pete's world, just to give himself something to do. :)
