I just rewatched this episode last weekend and I love it, and I also love what you've done with it here. Great development at the end to have Rose join the Doctor in the Pit. And I love how that in no way affected the intensity of that awesome reunion hug in the Tardis! (An essential element of the episode, for SURE.)

nattieb is the reason the hug is there! I hadn't included it at first because they were never separated, but after she said it was her favorite part of the episode, I retooled some things. You're right - VERY essential!

This was lovely!! I loved how the beast showed the Doctor images of Rose to get him to crack, especially the one of Rose in his shirt and tie.

But this bit was my favourite...

“Go where?” she whispered, still kissing him.

He pulled away and began to step out of the spacesuit. “Anywhere there’s a bed.”

Thank you! I'm glad you think it was well-written, but it wasn't written very fast. Even though I had about a week to put it together, I'd been writing it in my head and on random sheets of paper for over a month, so it came together pretty quickly when I sat at the computer.
