Oh wow... I can't believe you finished this. I followed this while you were still writing it, and I reread the available sections like three times each and despaired at the prospect that you'd burnt out on the angel crew....

I can't believe it either. It was very much out of the blue because I was looking for another (short) old half-finished fic and found this one instead in all my papers, and it was Friday night, so it just hit me: "I've a whole weekend, I can finish this." So I did. Which means I didn't, literally, do anything else the whole weekend! Talk about obsessive focus & random decisions...
I was so excited to see this completed, I nearly danced around the room! I just finished reading it, and am (I think) done crying. It's lovely, and if you ever want to write more in this universe you'll have one eager fan waiting to rave over it.

Glad you liked it. I don't really know where I am with this universe now. I just don't think I have the time to write any more of these. I wonder if there'll be the odd short story though, when I'm feeling nostalgic about Angel fandom.
I think I was never entirely comfortable with what the show did to Wesley in season 4/5. I kind of fell in love with the dork, not Action Watcher. Although Fred and Lilah were exceedingly cool in season 4, but then I found that the most entertaining things about season 5 were Spike and Illyria, and if you know how I feel about Spike... ;) But Wes was always my guy on Angel because none of the other characters I really loved stuck around long enough or had enough screen time where they were decently written, so season 4/5 made me sad. :(
I'm finding it more entertaining this time around, though, the stuff I've recently watched again. Maybe being a bit more removed from it after 2 years apart helps!

I spent the weekend rereading it from the very first page to last and i enjoyed it so much! personally, i loved the ending! brilliant story, dear (wonderful writing, handle of characters, plot and one of the best -realistic- original characters i've come across in fanfic) thank you for coming back and finishing this!
Thank you! I'm really glad you liked the ending after all. :) It's been a fantastic feeling managing to *finish* this after leaving the story and characters hanging for so long. I feel a lot less guilty! But I was - and am - still rather afraid of how folks might feel about the ending.

Oh, I just saw at the BFA that you finished it! Awesome. Adding it to my to-read list. There were only two chapters I haven't read yet, if I remember correctly.
