vhs is extinct

so i have 3 big boxes of vhs tapes. i know that when i move i'll be reluctant to take them with me. the problem is this: i spent many a hard earned teenage dollar on those fucking things! there are some pretty great movies in that collection! what to do? suggestions?

hey the apple store is replacing my entire mac, they can't fix it. there was some problem with it and i was in danger of losing everything on my harddrive. they've had it for 17 days and now they're keeping it for another 2 weeks. i don't mind - they told me they were able to recover most of my stuff and have put it on their server. but this has been an eye opener - I NEED A BETTER WAY OF BACKING UP MY STUFF! Suggestions? I've heard of external hard drives frying and so have been weary of them.

Well, for a home solution an external HD is probably your best bet

okay. so as long as i know to replace my stuff every 2 years i should be okay? i've heard some MAJOR horror stories.. but thats probably because they didn't replace it frequently enough. thanks flipps!
