She wants something simple, he wants something he'll remember. Marriages don't mean much in the Upper East Side, he tells her, and she just rolls her eyes at him. She's a Van Der Humphrey (with a little bit of Bass) now, in spirit if not in name, and she knows all too well what comes with marriage, as well as what doesn't. She's sat down with Lily countless times since he's proposed, talking and questioning and hearing story after story after story of marriages lost to the pressures of the society Nate was born into and can't shed, not completely. And to be honest, Jenny doesn't want him to. He belongs there, in tailored suits and well-shined shoes, smiling at faces he's known since childhood and shaking hands that count more money than Jenny would know what to do with, and she won't take him from that. But she isn't one of them, not now, not ever, and they can't live in that world completely

OMFG This was TRULY AMAZING! It was completely worth the wait! Serena as her maid of honor makes sense, but Eric as best man was a little surprising. I take it Nate and Eric became closer? :)
I adore how you write Jenny. The way she is meant to be written. So, thank you for doing her character the justice she deserves!
