Wow, proper tent! Much as I love my little nylon dome tent, I do miss the monster canvas ridge tents I camped in as a little'un.

How confident are you of your creation in the rain?

Thus far it's survived three reenactment weekends, two of which were distinctly inclement, so it's not done too badly as yet... :)

Well the tents upside down hanging from the celling at the moment but its drying out nicelly, will get it back to you at the weekend.

they are so heavy to just carry those...must have taken over your all flat doing it.

It was interesting to make, though I'm not sure I'd want to have a go at another one just yet... It's not particularly big, so space wasn't too much of an issue, but it was still a bit of a struggle to manoeuvre that bulk of fabric through the sewing machine.
