I thought it was "...up to and including my life and liberty." though I'll stop short at once more insisting our vets sacrifie their freedom the day they enlist. Not trying to start somethin on your blog, Dale :)

Well, as many servicemen and women have pointed out on the Bar, soldiers don't have rights and freedoms; they give them up to defend ours.

I know that quote, the latter one, and have seen it on the bar and have expressed it in my own words and oddly, been told no, I don't know what i"m talking about, soldiers don't give up their freedom. I think they do, from the moment they enlist. Even Basic Training requires sacrificing your life from that moment until you finish your service. Or die. Whichever comes first.

But some days, I guess, if *I* am the one to say it, It must not be true.
