I've arrived and have scouted out the possibilities for meal augmentation. The conference does not provide breakfast (which I'm learning to eat more regularly) and it's a general opinion among people who plan buffets that a bag of spring mix in itself constitutes a salad. (Nuh-uh ( Read more... )

No breakfast in the conference hotel? In the UK it's standard conference practice to eat as much breakfast as possible to sustain oneself for the rest of the day.

Sadly, breakfast is not included with the room. They do have a continental breakfast, but it's a little overpriced. Meals are and option in conference registration, but I attend those as much for the keynote speeches as for the feedbag.

I'm picturing you running about that little area, seeking sustenance, and while the site itself is sure to have changed, it's so vivid I feel like I'm there. Must be that "in spirit" thing.
