Wow. So much packed into this - I loved the London dystopian feel, and was more than a little creeped out by it.

She was old enough, just, to remember hearing music over the radio, jaunty and brash. That had been before the presenters starting dying on air, their breath turning bloody in their throats. Only the government, and the resistance, used the radio now.

That's deliciously horrible. ~shudders~

And omg spy codes and things! That was great.

I really liked the idea of Tonks in the closet and having to sneak around - very interesting way of looking at it.

I adore dystopia ^_^ It's always delightful to write (yes, I'm weird)

I always wanted to see more of Tonks being an auror and undercover. Thinking about how different her childhood would have been if the war had still been going on. I think it would have been very dangerous to have been known to be a metamorphamagus in that situation. This Tonks is a lot more war-weary than she would be otherwise.

And I can write proper sentences, too.

Occasionally -_-

It makes me kind of giggly that Tonks totally has a crush on Snape.

I love the world in these stories, with a war that has stretched on for so long and all the ways its changed the simple bits of life.

*grins* Tonks/Snape is one of my secret OTPs. It's very easy to read jealousy into that confrontation at the school gates in HBP.

Dystopic modern fantasy is one of my favourite genres. Trying to work out the consequences of the war was great fun.

"Dystopic modern fantasy" is very close to my personal favorite, which I would describe as "post-apocalyptic science fiction." So, yeah, this story is wicked awesome.

Ooh, more! And darker, too - as I supected it would have to be. I'm fascinated by the idea of a closeted Tonks, and it's interesting to see her interact with Snape. Puts me in mind of how much I enjoyed the one Snape/Tonks fic I've ever read.

I've kept it fairly light with the early Harry pieces, but it's not a nice world at all, and Harry's going to run into the darker side of it quite soon ^_^

I love Snape/Tonks. It's one of those pairings that sounds like a crack pairing until you think about it, and then you realise it would work. Have you still got a link to the fic? I can never seem to find very much written for the pairing.

It was "Travelodgers" and its sequel, "Room Service", and I read them over at Checkmated, but as they're NC-17 you need password access to read them there. The author has an LJ - pandorajones - but I'm not sure if the stories themselves are available on LiveJournal.

I'm really liking this world you've created. The small details you put in make it feel quite real, can see the images in my head.
