I make an effort to keep that edge of sadness in even the fluffiest of fics. It's one of the things which draws me to the pairing, and I think it's important not to lose sight of the context.

Aw. He's saying I'll always love you without coming out and saying it or even making any actual sense, because Sirius Black's brain works in mysterious ways that no one can possible fathom, even Sirius Black. But Remus gets the vague idea, and loves him back. Awwwwww.
