And, i'm thinking you mean "lagging" not flagging? Or else I could just be confused.
But anyway, i've found what I've started doing is i wrote 3 pages, hate it, but can't stand to delete it, so i just change the color font and rewrite the scene completely. Helps me get unstuck.
And locations. I write on a laptop, and whenever I try to write somewhere other then in my room, I seem to get much better ideas.

And I delete scenes that I don't like. I am a bad NANO. I wish you luck though because yay catching up.

Nooooo don't delete!! I once read a nanowrimo email or something (back when Chris Baty was super involved) and he was the one that suggested never deleting crappy scenes and just changing the font etc). Don't delete!
And don't flag!
Yeah, I'm 2k behind but I just said no to a friend about going to breaking dawn tomorrow night because (a. I only go to mock it and you can't do that during opening weekend and (b. I need to write, so i can catch up/get ahead.

I think you'll really like the book! Some of the themes like "he sees the real me" gets little repetitive, but that is seriously the only flaw of the series.
Such a great book and the other two "Rules of Attraction" and "Train Reaction" is equally amazing. :)
