To either the Plague or social unrest that seems to be going on somewhere beyond my quiet farm. I haven't been in public since early March, have rarely left the farm except for a couple of car rides in the country

"My anxiety has been out the roof, my sleep erratic and my breaking point fragile."
I'm so sorry to hear this, the more so because it mirrors my own experience exactly.
It's awful because, when I finally lie down at night, I find that I need to leave a light on in a nearby room, not because I'm afraid of the dark, but because it gives the room I'm in size, dimension, openness, everything that this anxiety takes away from me.
Of course, I feel it too when I walk into the house in daylight and so I linger near the door or walk out onto the entry stairs to stand a moment in the intense LIGHT we've been blessed to have the past few days.
Thank you for sharing that because, although distressing, it triggers empathy which is truly a saving grace, a sunlight of the human soul.
And thanks too for the pictures of everything that's still filling our existence with light, color, texture, the smell and taste of this earth...
Well damn, L, we are not supposed to fall apart at the same time. Someone has to be standing to pick the other one up.
No one understands anxiety like someone who suffers from it. I find it to be worse than physical pain because it becomes inescapable. And, it just sucks the air right out of the room.
Do not let anxiety have its way with you. It releases very nasty hormones (cortisol and adrenalin) good old flight or fight energy.... not good for man nor beast. Breathe often and as deep as you can, stand in that light, it will give you strength.
Remember NOTHING lasts forever, this world is a temporary illusion though lately it's purpose fails to give me hope. Love and hugs babe....Keep the faith! and KEEP ON TRUCKIN'
Loving all of your garden goodies. We didn’t do much of a garden this year. Herbs and blueberries, though the birds look to have eaten much of the berries already and they aren’t even ripe, and peppers which still have a ways to go. We’re doing a CSA through a local farm and so far so good.
Hope you continue to find ways to use your time while the world is still mainly shut down. I’ve kind of enjoyed the slow down and staying home, though I am not accomplishing nearly as much as I have wanted to.
