Had my first day at New Work today, which was actually OK. Everyone seems really friendly and they took me out for free lunch, which was a bonus. Also, I didn't monumentally cack anything up - yet.

On the slightly less good side, I had to do an hour's overtime, on my FIRST DAY. This does not bode well. Everyone seems to stay late all the time and

firstly- hurrah at new job!

secondly the last part sounds like me, im still at work, been here 12.5 hours and not at all happy about it, i wouldnt mind if i got paid, id be rich! grr. xx

You've hit on one of my biggest weaknesses. I'm genuinely extremely lazy. I could quite easily just surf the net between 9 and 6 every day instead of working. There's so much to read, so much to see. I like my job, but it's not what drives me to get up in the mornings.
