Hm, 'tis a very interesting take on what happened, and it makes a lot of sense. Hooray for you for taking the holes in the show making them work.
Plus, it's beautifully written, and I just love the idea of Gabriel allowing himself to be caught so they could actually help him. ^_^

Thank you. I noticed that loophole and couldn't help imagining what could cause Gabriel to allow himself to be caught. This spawned, and I have to say, I quite like it :P

I'm glad you liked how it was written. I was trying to capture Gabriels age as well as the inevitability the Winchesters were fighting that all the angels seemed to be aware of.

Another loophole I noticed that I didn't add was that Gabriel brought Cas back from wherever he sent him even though he was apparently trapped and powerless inside a ring of Holy Fire.
