Do you know what I like about this time of year? No, it is not the cooler weather because as of today that has yet to show up. No, it is not the trees turning color. I like scary movies, but I tend to end up watching more the B-movies that don't scare you to death so much as asphyxiate you with laughter. All the ones of this lot I have seen I love, so I guess I'll have to go and see the ones I haven't seen yet. Carnival of Souls is awesome, with possibly the best soundtrack of all time. Alien informed my young mind as to what pregnancy was all about (e.g.: vicious life-sucking parasite growing inside you).In the Mouth of Madness is just weird as hell, but Sam Neill makes it.

My all-time favorite 'horror' movie has got to be the classic B-movie Night of the Lepus, about giant mutant killer rabbits. With Dr. McCoy from Start Trek. Awesome piled on awesome, with some of the worst special effects ever, which is the only thing that makes it even remotely scary. I mean, come on, killer bunnies? I also absolutely love Pitch Black, for more than just its gravel-throated star, it was one of the few movies I've ever seen that kept me up the night I watched it for the first time.
