We have a new president!

Also, he is left handed (although apparently he is at least the fourth in a row).

Yes, I know. But Obama won't be the fourth in a row, because his execrable predecessor is a righty.

Yeah, I was quite sure that Bush was right-handed. I noticed that Obama was left-handed during the first debate, but somehow I either missed McCain or it didn't register with me strongly enough to remember it now. (In general, I feel like I have a decent mental inventory of right- and left-handed people I know.)

our world dominion plans proceed apace... the first thing we're going to do is legislate that everyone must start writing right to left... see how THEY like having their hands all smudged with ink!

Actually, I did this when I was in my mirror-writing phase, and I never had trouble. Maybe I just had exceptionally good ballpoint pens?

well, it depends how you hold your hand, too. many lefties have learned to sort of curl it above the letters, so if the previous line has dried before you go over it, it might not smudge. ballpoint pens are certainly better than felt tip pens, and both are better than pencil.

i think it must be neat to be able to actually see what you just wrote, while writing.
