He has an amazing and infuriating ability to be able to hear something and just play it. My brother can do that. But he infuriates people for a lot of other reasons, too. :P
Well done on moving out! I think it'd be heavenly to do myself, only I'd miss my cat terribly.
And your birthday was great. I love Busaba, the crabmeat rice is one of my favourite dishes to eat (it's high-end comfort food). It's not great for conversation, and the turnaround rate is a bit too high/fast, but the food is worth it. Don't forget the Häagen-Dazs! Sickeningly good.
I like your description of Tom-the-guitar-teacher :) I've labelled him The Wispy Hipster inside my head now. In fact I knew quite a few people like that; sort of vaguely nebulous personalities held together by quirky accessories. In fact that was me at fifteen.
Also I think technically he wouldn't be classed as a hipster. You know how in Romford everyone vaguely alternative is very RAWK and all the bands were a bit nu-metalish? He was like that. But a decent guy and a disturbingly good guitarist. Dude knows his music.
The crabmeat rice sounds good. I'm supposed to be making some sweet potato cake thing for dinner. I really can't be bothered. Also I didn't know busuba did desserts. The high turn-around is what I dislike about it - I like to linger, before and after.
Oh dear lord the neighbour has started playing music insanely loud. he has really good speakers. and enjoys bass.
Yeah, that was my problem too. You were probably playing on a classical guitar. if you ever try again, get your hands on a straightforward acoustic. Much thinner fretboard, so much easier.
