In memory of George

Nov 30, 2005 00:29

I cannot understand why more of a fuss isn't made on this day. (Well, technically yesterday as it's twenty-two minutes past midnight here). Nothing on tv or in the newspaper or on the radio. I'm glad to see that he's being commemorated on LJ and I shall join in with my own memorial :D

I think we should celebrate his birth and life as to the day of his death. George loved life and respected it in evey way...

He was my favorite Beatle by far. ♥ Beautiful man. I wish I had my copy of Help here, I'd watch it right now, in memory of 'im. *smiles*

He's my favourite Beatle too. He was so beautiful. *g* I spent my free time watching Concert for Bangla Desh and the Concert for George, which never fails to make me weepy.

Blame my mother for me never really getting into the Beatles - she was a Kinks fan.

LOL I'm a Kinks fan too. The Davies brothers rock and rock hard. *switches MP3 player over to The Destroyer*

They do! I think I'm in love with that particular picture. And with George in general.

Oh, I'm in tears. I didn't remember the date, but I remember the day all too well. Thank you for reminding me, and I'll write up my own memory of him in my journal today.

*hands over kleenex, making sure it isn't one I've already sniffled on* I remember sitting in the family room with my mom, just watching hours and hours of footage of George the day he died. He was far too young.
