Earlier this past week I finished Our Land Was a Forrest, by Kayano Shigeru Kayano Shigeru. I started with this selection for many reasons. Even just the title itself seemed to draw me in. Kayano Shigeru, born in the 1920's, is the founder and director of the Kayano Shigeru Memorial Museum, formerly the Nibutani Museum of Ainu Cultural Resources. ( Read more... )
