It's very sad indeed. I didn't grow up with Casey, but I longed for years to be able to see Scooby-Doo before I was finally able to courtesy of the WB. (And one lone episode on Cartoon Network when we were in a motel.) And 11 years ago or so JP made me a couple of tapes of the Top 40 show; those were fun to listen to.
The Monkees, oddly enough, are responsible for most of my major interests. I think I'll make a post showing how the heck that happened.
Ooh, there is nothing more vexing than wanting to see a show and not getting a chance to. Glad you finally did, though! I only ever listened to part of one of the Top 40 show--just when Casey was talking about Genesis! Purely by accident; I did squee out loud when I realized what was going on. It was when Invisible Touch was in the top 40.
