P.S. saw you noticed Troughton's bow tie was safety-pinned on. He used that instead of a collar button! And today I was drawing a picture of him from one of those old photos from POWER OF THE DALEKS, and suddenly noticed something was odd about his ankles...yep. I'll say it was odd. His shoelaces were for knee-high boots! He has them wrapped and tied around his ankles just like kids at school do with their overlong laces today! Ask him why and he'd probably tell you long laces are more practical than short ones...you never know if you have to rig up a trebuchet or an Ogron snare...

I don't think Simon and Darren worked on Mike Hammer, though, unless some new information has come to light. I thought it was Darren's other private eye show, from the late sixties.... (Mike Hammer actually aired before The Problem Child, too....)
Your blog post is lovely, by the way! It's very interesting how your interest in the other series has actually supported Simon love. I feel the same about my own ventures.
