My Brother

My brother is very stressed out! I'm really worried about him. He's been really uptight lately, snaps unexpectedly at non-living things (like the computer this morning), and he's been feeling very depressed ever since he recovered from his cold. Atem has been very quiet lately. I've shown him around since he recovered. I think he makes the maids ( Read more... )

GIMMIE THE AMONTILLADO!!! I know it can't be drunk, but I would love to add it to my collection just to brag that I have it! *squeals* I've always wanted one ever since I read that story! ^_^ Please, please, please? Don't give it to Pegasus! I want it!

Just because you want it, doesn't mean you can have it. I don't like you much, Amelda. Why would I give it to you? I may not be a wine connoisseur like you, but I do know the value of this cask. I'm a high-bred noble, unlike you, and I wouldn't just give a family heirloom away like that...

Pegasus deserves it more than you.

Don't you think that was a bit harsh?

No. He's selfish. Besides, aren't you Pegasus' girlfriend? Don't you think that he deserves it more than that Amelda?

Poor lad. I wish there was something I could do. What has caused him to get so stressed out? I doubt that it would be the party. He's alwys put out such great ones, so it has to be something else.

I think it's the ghosts more than anything. They worry me, too, but it's not themselves that worry me... I don't know how to explain it.

Are you afraid that they could be affecting your brother? *looks concerned*

I know they are affecting him! That's why I've been in the library! I was doing some research.

(OOC: wine can get too old? I never knew that!)

(OOC: Yes, some of the most expensive bottles are actually too old to drink. The most expensive bottle is an undrinkable, highly collectible, 1787 Chateau Lafite (a Bordeaux), and one bottle fetches for £105,000 or $160,000! It is unusual for even the best Bordeaux to last more than 50 years, and 200 years is beyond any wine's limit. The allure of these high-priced bottles of vinegar, and other wines of its ilk, is purely in the joy of collecting, not consuming.)
