...I’ve been writing my protagonist as shaped like me, keeping myself conscious of the words I am using to describe her, and her best friend as being maybe smaller, but strong and muscular. because I don’t read about a lot of girls who are shaped like me. and I know there are other girls out there also drawn in bold, heavy strokes who need that. Agreed. I love Aveline because she's a woman who can kick some ass.

And yeah, there aren't enough women to admire in fiction who are shaped as I am. If I could ever finish anything, I'd like to help change that, as most my protagonist/hero ladies are varying degrees of short-ish and stocky and/or rotund, but can still fend for themselves.

Me too. Next time I open up my novel, I'm going to look hard at what words I'm using to describe my heroine. The author in that blog was right, it *is* insidious: I probably didn't even notice I was using words like that. :/
