Farscape first! So, I liked episodes one through ten, but it still wasn't must-watch TV yet. I skipped episode eleven--the online reviews seemed to indicate that it wasn't that great, and not really necessary for character development. My attitude changed during episode twelve, 'Rhapsody in Blue.' (
spoilers from 1.12-1.15 )

And isn't it the one that ends on John saying, "Just to make it clear, you *are* the female of your species, right?
:D
Chiana's body movements, the Nebari ethic that everyone must conform; lots of other examples if I took the time to think about them.
Ooooh, yes, I love the way she moves--very different. :)

Hee, yes it is! So amusing! And Aeryn's little smile after John leaves the room. aww...

As for Farscape, lots of people have told me that it does keep getting better, which is why I persevered when the first episodes didn't totally hook me. Thanks for the encouragement!

I'll never tell!
The other season 1 episode that has a lot of repercussions is PK Tech Girl. You've got Durka, Gilina, the Zelbinion, Nebari foreshadow, John/Aeryn pre-ship....
And I LOVE The Flax :)
Like everyone else, I can only say that the show gets better...until season 4. Yes, I'm a bit of a hater when it comes to 4, but others LOVE it so it's just a matter of preference, I guess.
Have fun!

Yeah, I've stumbled across some general disdain for season four. I have a ways to go before I decide if I'll watch it, though.

I don't know where you were reading, but, 'Till the Blood Runs Clear has character and plot pieces that echo all the way through season three.
And Chiana's movements are a product of Gigi's dad owning a circus. She's awesome.

Hm. I may go back and download it. I'm on summer vacation, so it's not like I'm worried about the time I'm spending watching Farscape. Thanks for the information.
