Okay, the (almost) end of the school year is bringing out the 'Woe Is Me' posts, apparently. I have a really big whiny post in my head. I'll just shorten it and say this ( Read more... )

Oh, wow. I'm trying to remember if I actually watched that way back when. Hm... I do remember the ads. I'll have to ask my dad--I'm guessing that if he watched it, so did I. (I can remember watching the 4th doctor from Doctor Who with my father--so is my love of sci-fi inherited or learned behavior? *g*)

People eating guinea pigs! SO GODDAMN AWESOME

Honestly... I love BSG - and RDM has NOT quite topped it.

And it may be inherited. I recall one of my fondest memories of my father - and I may seperately blog this in more detail - one fine Saturday afternoon.... I was maybe 11 or 12 and the saturday horror movies were on, complete with the cobwebby dollhouse as a trailer for the saturday afternoon frights.

And Dad, was possibily typsy and we watched "My Bloody Valentine" and "Friday the 13th part 3" and we had the best time ever.,.. Dad laughingwhenever the three dee in the movie was obvious.....

"V" was something mom and dad did NOT allow the first time it aired. I remember watching it as a 7th grader in 1985 and being entranced by something that wasn't Star Trek.

It holds up well. Its basically a WW2 allegory

Heh. I've eaten guinea pig. (Trip to Ecuador.) Anyway, I don't think we did watch V, or at least, not all of it. Maybe parts.

Something about watching TV with Dad, though--definitely nostalgic times. I remember watching Monty Python on PBS with him. I didn't get the jokes. (Heck, I still don't get some of those jokes.)

I noticed that too about the download. The high-pitched everything was, I'm pretty sure, due to the episode being very, very slightly speeded up, which causes everything to be pitched up. It may have been something Sky did in the U.K. in order to be able to fit the episode in better into their programming schedule? Fit another advertisement block in or something? IDK. But you can tell if you listen to the theme music: It sounds ridiculously fast - like bordering on Alvin and The Chipmunks fast. :)

Good question about Sam. I think we might not see him for a while, so they can save up Trucco's contractual hours for more interesting Cylon hijinks. But no Gaeta either! Um, how's he doing over there in sickbay? Has *anyone* visited him yet? I mean for pete's sake, they brought back Jake the Dog and they gave him to ROMO? He was Gaeta's buddy in the Resistance! (Grrr..)

I don't know, and it's bothering me!!!! :(

it's a sad day when the dog gets more accolades than the Resistance people

*hugs* I hope all your work gets done quickly and that your bosses smarten up.

And yes, boo on the episode entirely. Heh. Maybe Sam is floating around somewhere?
