Oh I like that description, I really do. And I know that feeling. I hope the meds route helps. I actually was on Welbutrin for about two years and I agreed with my therepist that the combo of meds and dealing with some issues was a lot more effective than just dealing with my issues.
I'm hoping the meds will be effective. The psychiatrist paid attention to what I said, which is always a plus, so I feel comfortable going back if we need to try something else. (I actually have a follow-up visit already scheduled.)
I reblogged your tumblr post on the topic, but stupidly it never occurred to me that lj might be the better place to check. //(
I hope you're doing well now? You are the second person on my flist to go on meds this December. What is it this year? I think you're the third with a depression. It's quite common, I think.
Well, the first round of meds didn't work, so we're trying a second one. *sigh*
Aww, I'm sorry. Keep trying. There are so many variables.
Good luck!
Depression runs in the family, from both sides, so it's not all that surprising.
That's a good thing, I guess, because you don't have to heap guilt onto yourself for having depression in the first place. One less thing to worry about.
