It's Thanksgiving here in the US, and I'm grateful for:

• my sister-in-law's sweet potato soufflé, quite possibly the most wondrous Thanksgiving dessert ever created
• my adorable youngest niece with her head of curly hair
• a quiet bedroom where I can retreat if the cute nieces and nephews are too much
• feeling like a normal human being now that I'm over

It was! We played ball-tag outside on Friday as well, with the kids and several adults participating. It's something of a family tradition, as long as it's not too cold outside.

Yup. We were in CA with my folks. Unfortunately, I didn't have a quiet bedroom to retreat to when cute kids became too much. They were my kids . . .
