Hm, I haven't done a good clothing rant in a while, have I? And that's about all I feel like talking about--at least in a public post. So here goes!

I just received a clothing order from Lands' End. (Yes, the apostrophe is wrong--it's been wrong since they started their business and a publisher messed it up on some of their earliest printed

Exactly! I have the same problem. Plus I don't *like* the selection in most junior departments; I don't want to wear the same clothing as my students...

Too hot? It's in the 80s and I'm already cold. I have a sweater on and a light fall jacket everyday. I miss 90s even though they exhausted me. Ah, another ten months. It was good while it lasted, though.

Fall has begun for me. :-(

I still wear real sizes. I don't care what the sizes are as long as all the stores agree. I find I am the same size in every store (actually less since I've lost some weight) and I like that. It's like buying a bra. Just be consistent otherwise I get all thrown off.

That skirt looks very you. I could never wear something like that but you could totally pull it off. :-)

80's? The overnight lows here are in the 80's. :( Still. We're doing record-breaking heat and dryness. Ranchers are selling their livestock early because there won't be enough hay to feed them this winter...

Stores so don't agree on sizing. Even the catalogs lie; if I went by the measurements in the Lands' End catalog, I'd be ordering two sizes bigger. Hah.

It's just a matter of predisposition! I can't do an all-black outfit, for example! ;-)

No? I thought black worked for everyone as in little black dress. But what do I know of fashion. I know black keeps one warm. :-)

Clarks shoes really are the best: the most comfortable pairs I own.

The US really has been getting worse about sizing. I wish we had some kind of regulations for standard sizes so that I would have some idea where to start when trying on clothes.
