To the people who have posted to the internet in various places that the disasters in Japan are a well-deserved Act of God/karma for Pearl Harbor and WWII/a good thing for any other reason:

%#$& off, &%*#&#$#s. You should be ashamed of yourselves, every one of you. And keep an eye on your own karma.

Me neither. I can kind of understand it in older people who were around at the time of Pearl Harbor and WWII, especially if they were personally affected. But a lot of the posters are clearly young people who weren't even born then and probably don't know much about it. What's their excuse? *rages some more*

That kitty icon is still the stuff of nightmares, but its facial expression fits my reaction to when I first saw all the nastiness perfectly. Just... good god, people can be so incredibly insensitive and downright stupid when something like this happens. What I'd really love to do is ask them "Well, if the earthquake and subsequent tsunami are 'karma for Pearl Harbor', then what do you think should happen to the US as karma for bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki? The combined death tolls for the two bombs were somewhere between 150,000 and 246,000."

I thought the Kitty Monster was particularly appropriate here ;) (I wish I could put it into the dreams of these assholes.)

Which is one of the best responses I've seen. At least some of the commenters to this crap have said as much.

Agreed. Anyone who can see human destruction as a good thing are truly evil.

Some people seem to have a desperate need to believe that everything bad that happens is a punishment for something... except, of course, bad things that happen to them, which somehow don't count.

Agreed. It's always somebody else's fault.

I'm not sure what's worse -- making jokes about it, or saying those things dead seriously. Although I'm sure some of them are mindlessly following their peers, some of whom are following their parents' prejudice, etc. Which is just as disgusting, really.
